How does Stealth Belt Ostomy Support Belt work?

Stealth Belt Ostomy Support belt has a pouch compartment that holds the ostomy bag inside, concealed from view. How do I wash my Stealth Belt?

To machine wash fasten all belt closures to prevent the Velcro from sticking to other laundry items. Machine wash your Stealth Belt on gentle cycle in warm water, using no bleach. For extra care, you may place Stealth Belt inside a pillow case to wash. Machine dry Stealth Belt on delicate cycle or drip dry flat. For longer durability, you may hand wash and drip dry your Stealth Belt.

How do I put on a Stealth Belt Pro?

Insert your ostomy bag into the Stealth Belt pouch compartment as shown in the photo example above. To fasten the waist band, insert the soft Velcro side of the belt between the two pieces of hard Velcro at the long end of the belt. The soft side of the belt is sandwiched between the two hard Velcro ends for secure closure. Size may be adjusted for your comfort.

Does Stealth Belt help with "leakage"?

Stealth Belt Ostomy Support Belt acts as an added barrier of protection if you have a leaking bag. In addition it helps keep the adhesive flange patch in place, so it won't come un-stuck from the stoma area as easily.

The zippered pouch on Stealth Belt Ostomy Support Belt provides easy access for cleaning, changing or emptying the ostomy bag. Simply unzip the bottom of the Stealth Belt and allow your ostomy bag to slide down and proceed to empty. (Rotation of ostomy bag on 2 pc. appliance may be neccessary.)

Do I have to take the belt off every time I clean, empty or change my ostomy bag?

If you wear a two piece system, the Stealth Belt Ostomy Support Belt will conveniently stay in place behind the ring clip against the flange adhesive patch while you clean, empty or change the ostomy bag. This allows you to use two hands to handle the ostomy bag, if necessary.

If you wear a one piece ostomy bag system, the One Piece Ostomy Bag Support Stealth Belt will easily slip off for changing your bag.

I wear a one piece non-drainable bag. Can I still use a Stealth Belt?

If your ostomy bag does not have a drain opening in the bottom of the bag you may need to pull the full ostomy bag through the hole in the pouch for emptying. Please mention you use a one piece non-drainable when ordring to ensure the stoma hole opening on your Stealth Belt accomodates the opening size you need.

I wear a two piece system. How can I drain my ostomy bag when wearing a Stealth Belt?

The Stealth Belt Ostomy Support Belt has a zippered access opening so that the ostomy bag can be drained by opening the pouch access, while still wearing the belt. There is only a small difference in the distance it will take to drain the bag in a normal vertical position. The benefits far out weigh any difficulty you may have when draining for the first time.

What happens when the ostomy bag fills?

The stretchy pouch outer layer of Stealth Belt Ostomy Support Belt allows the ostomy or urostomy bag to fill naturally inside the pouch compartment. The pouch compartment stretches when the ostomy or urostomy bag expands, then, the pouch shrinks back to its normal size for a sleek, stealthy look, when empty.
